This policy explains how OpexQuant (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies such as local storage, in line with the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), the UK GDPR and the EU ePrivacy Directive and GDPR. We only set non-essential cookies with your consent, and refusing is as easy as accepting.
At the date above, OpexQuant does not run any analytics, advertising, tracking or profiling cookies. We take no payments, so no payment or checkout cookies are set either. The banner lets you record your choice so that, if we ever add analytics, nothing non-essential is loaded unless you have accepted.
These are required to provide the service you ask for, so the law does not require consent and they cannot be switched off in the banner:
• Clerk — sign-in, session and account-security cookies, set only when you use the sign-in or account features.
• Cookie choice — a small item in your browser’s local storage (oq-cookie-consent) remembering whether you accepted or rejected. It holds no personal data.
If you connect Google Calendar, Google sets cookies on its own sign-in pages under its own policy. We do not set them, and we only use the calendar permission to add OpexQuant events to your calendar.
None are in use. If we add analytics in future they will stay off until you accept, we will update this page first, and you will be able to withdraw consent at any time.
The Gulf Watch map loads map tiles from Esri’s servers, so Esri receives your IP address and browser details when the map is displayed. Fonts are served from our own domain.
You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser (this removes the saved choice and the banner returns), or by blocking cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop sign-in and checkout from working. Your choice is stored on your device only, so you will be asked again on a new browser or device.
